BlueWater is compiled by Editor Tim Simpson, an international expert, author, public speaker and offshore big game sports fishing educator on stage, film and TV.

Tim has been awarded 7 IGFA world records and many tournament wins. He is a Representative for the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) and an advisor to the IGFA’s Angling Rules Committee. Tim is also on the Board of Trustees for The Billfish Foundation (TBF), has been an angling advisor to Fisheries Ministers in several Governments, as well as many fishing tackle businesses.

Tim has fished extensively in Australia and numerous other gamefishing hotspots throughout the world – including Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Fiji, Hawaii, Mauritius, Reunion Island, Florida, Samoa, New Guinea, New Zealand, the Maldives, Malaysia and the Bahamas. Tim also draws on 25-years of expertise in fishing tackle and techniques learned during his previous career at the top of the retail fishing tackle industry.
