Shimano TCurve Revolution Travel Offshore Rod
You can pack it in your luggage!
Shimano’s Saltwater Spin is a new addition to their Revolution Travel Offshore line-up.
This three-piece travel rod is built on one of Shimano’s exclusive TCurve blanks manufactured using an unique three-ply graphite weave and resin-curing process that makes them light to use, but also incredibly strong.
The Saltwater Spin is 2.21 metres in length when assembled and is capable of fishing 10 to 15 kilo line and 20 to 100 gram lures. The fittings include a Pacific Bay reel seat and zirconium guides, EVA grips and a split-butt design to keep weight down.
Ferrules are often the downfall of multi-piece travel rods, but the ferruling system designed for all the TCurve Travel rods by the Australian Rod Builder, Ian Miller, is top-notch. The three sections go together and come apart easily, and when under load it’s almost impossible to tell that this is a multi-piece rod.
